My Body is a Temple of God

God made us in his image and took care in making us. We all are wonderfully made. Genesis1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Psalm 139:13-14 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

It is important to honor our temple because the holy spirit is within us, and God want us to use our body to honor him. 1 Corinthians 6 19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Honor your temple byAligning your focus with God's 2 Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Eating healthy and honorably.1 Corinthians 10:31, NIV: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."     Genesis 1:29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." Training physically and spiritually 1 Timothy 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.            1 Corinthians 9:26-27 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.  Managing our emotions in a way that Glorifies God.   Ephesians 4:26-27 "In your anger do not sin." Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Philippians 4: 6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  And resting. Mathew 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Hebrews 4: 9-10 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. In these ways we honor God with our Bodies.
